João Mauricio Castaldelli-Maia MD, PhD is an Assistant (Aux.) Professor of Psychiatry at the Department of Neuroscience, Medical School, FMABC University Center, and a Postgraduate Sponsor at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is a member of the WPA Standing Committee on Education (2020-2023). Dr Castaldelli-Maia earned both his MD and PhD from the Medical School, University of São Paulo. He is an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Public Health, Frontiers in Psychiatry, Frontiers in Sociology, and Global Psychiatry. He is also an editorial board of International Review of Psychiatry, International Journal of Social Psychiatry, Irish Journal of Psychological Medicine, Current Drug Research Reviews, Revista Paraguaya de Psiquiatria, and Medicina Clinica y Social. He published more than 150 papers and edited three books.
