Dr. Mazhar Al Zoubi is an associate professor of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry at the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Yarmouk University. He holds a Ph.D. in Experimental and Molecular Oncology from the University of Pisa. Besides he spent a year as a visiting scholar at Thomas Jefferson University in the USA. He is leading a research group that is working on the molecular genetics of prostate and breast cancer. Also, he is working on the molecular genetics of male infertility and certain metabolic disorders such as vitamin B12 deficiency and disc degenerative disorders. Moreover, Dr. Al Zoubi has a fellowship from the University of San Diego and the NIH-USA in responsible conduct of research. He supervised more than ten master students and being a member of more than 20 defense committees in different universities. In addition, he is an active partner in the European ERASMUS+ projects.
