Dr. Wu is an Associate Professor in the Affiliated Suzhou Hospital, Nanjing Medical University, Suzhou Municipal Hospital, Gusu School, Nanjing Medical University, China. Having received his Bachelor`s degree in Medicine, Jiangsu University in 2004, Dr . Wu worked at the First People`s Hospital of Yancheng City, Department of Laboratory Medicine and then undertook his postgraduate study at Nantong University since 2012. After two years research on project of Inhibitory effect of diaminocurcumin on autophagy by JAK/STAT3 signaling pathway in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma funded by The Youth Medical Talent of Jiangsu, Dr. Wu came to the State Key Laboratory for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, The First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University to start his research on HEV and obtained his PhD degree under Professor Hongcui Cao in 2022. He was promoted to Associated Professor in the Affiliated Suzhou Hospital, Nanjing Medical University Suzhou Municipal Hospital, Gusu School, Nanjing Medical University in 2022. He is the Executive Chief-Editor of the Advanced Gut & Microbiome Research, Associate Editor of several scientific journals including the Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology, BMC Pulmonary Medicine, Frontiers in Microbiology, Frontiers in Public Health, Gastroenterology & Hepatology Research and Zoonoses. He is also a member of various editorial boards and reviewer of numerous scientific journals, and has published more than 50 SCI papers. Currently, he is the director of Department of Clinical Laboratory, The Affiliated Suzhou Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Suzhou Municipal Hospital. His ongoing research interest is focus on Hepatitis E virus (particularly in Diagnosis, Extrahepatic manifestation and Mechanism of severity).
