My name is Jose Iglesias, and I am an accomplished physician specializing in nephrology, critical care, and hypertension. I earned my medical degree from UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine (Rowan University) I earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University in 1989, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1993 (Rowan University). I pursued rigorous postgraduate training, completing an internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital and fellowships in renal medicine and critical care medicine at Boston University Medical Center and the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, respectively. I have been a practicing nephrologist for 26 years and since 2017, I have been a managing partner at Ocean Renal Associates in Brick, NJ, providing exceptional care to my patients. I hold hospital appointments at various medical centers, including RWJ/Barnabas Community Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and Ocean University Medical Center. My academic contributions are significant, serving as a clinical associate professor at Rowan University, Hackensack Meridian Seton Hall University School of Medicine, and UMDNJ's Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. Board-certified in nephrology, critical care, and hypertension, Dr. Iglesias is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology. I actively teach and mentor medical residents, giving lectures on nephrology topics and fostering the next generation of physicians. My research focuses on clinical outcomes in cardiorenal syndrome, acute kidney injury, and sepsis. I have authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and served as Principal Investigator in notable clinical trials, such as the ASCEND and ORANGES trials. My dedication extends to community service, where he has organized kidney disease screening programs. I have received recognition for excellence in clinical education. My daily goals are to demonstrate leadership, innovation, and compassion in my medical practice and research. His expertise continues to advance the field of nephrology and critical care medicine.
