Dr. Hu Siqi, Associate Researcher, Faculty of Pediatrics, The Seventh Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, Master's Supervisor. The current research work mainly focuses on antiviral innate immunity and gene editing research. Identified regulatory factors on the cGAS-STING pathway, and conducted in-depth research on the intracellular localization of cGAS and its ability to recognize exogenous DNA and viral DNA. For the first time internationally, CRISPR-Cas12a and Cas13a were used to edit nucleic acids in the life cycle of HIV virus, proposing a new method for treating HIV-related diseases. As the first author and corresponding author, published several SCI papers in a series of related journals, and presided over and participated in several topics such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key R&D Program. Selected into the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Expert Database. Review Editor of Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, and reviewer for the Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific, BMC Medical Genomics, Bioscience reports. In the future, the focus will be on the multi-omics detection and analysis of body fluids and tissues for important pediatric diseases, exploring the molecular mechanisms of these diseases. Efforts will be made to identify drugs that antagonize the innate immune system, aiming to reduce "cytokine storms" and decrease the severity of infectious diseases. Gene editing technology will be utilized for rapid and visual detection of important pediatric pathogens, and the results will be applied practically.
