Dr. Tuna Kenar has worked as an assistant professor & lecturer at Dept. of Ear Nose Throat (ENT) Diseases, Faculty of Medicine in Pamukkale University, Denizli, Turkey, between 2012-2016 and in Adnan Menderes University, Aydın, Turkey, between 2020-2021. He has received his MD degree from Eskisehir Osmangazi University in 1999, Dr. Kenar worked as a research assistant in the Dept. of Physiology in Eskisehir Osmangazi University and performed basic science studies about the pathophysiology of hypertension till 2003. He undertook his otolaryngology training between 2003 and 2008 at the Faculty of Medicine, Afyon Kocatepe University, Turkey. He has worked as an ENT surgeon in Buldan District State Hospital of Denizli, Turkey between 2008 and 2012. He obtained his MSc degree in Audiology in 2014 at the Institute of Health Sciences, Yildirim Beyazit University, Ankara, Turkey. He has worked in private hospitals between 2016-2020. He is still working in a private hospital in Denizli. Besides his hard working as an ENT surgeon, he has contributed to the education of many medical faculty students and ENT residents as an academician. He published more than 20 research papers in international & national peer review journals. He is still a member of the editorial boards and a reviewer of several scientific journals. He has presented more than 30 oral and poster presentations in many international & national ENT congresses. He has also contributed to many scientific panels involving ENT as an invited speaker. He has contributed to many manuscripts as a “reviewer” in international & national peer review journals with his scientific knowledge. He was awarded as Oral Presentation 1st Prize in 1st National Congress of Otology and Neurootology, Famagusta/Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,2010 and awarded as Oral Presentation 3rd prize in 8th International Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Congress, Ankara, 2008. Up until now, he has examined thousands of patients and performed many operations. In addition to all ENT diseases and operations, his ongoing research interests are newborn hearing screening, cochlear implantation, inner ear diseases (tinnitus, vertigo etc.) and hearing loss. He is also honorable member of Turkish Society of Otorhinolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, Turkish Otology-Neurotology Association and Turkish Medical Association.
