2006-2021: Fifteen years of scientific interactions with Vietnamese colleagues. I have visited Vietnamese universities, hospitals and institutions, particularly in Hanoi at numerous occations, and established long-term collaborations in the pediatric field. I have also worked as the representative of Karolinska Institutet at Hanoi Medical University. I have been appointed by the Swedish Embassy as the representative for student recruitment in the medical field. Finally, I have lately been one of the responsible individuals for the TRAC (Training and Research Academic Collaboration) collaboration between five Swedish universities (the Karolinska Institute University, and the universities of Uppsala, Umeå, Linköping and Göteborg) and three Vietnamese partners (HMU, UMP, and NHP/RICH). I currently continue in these three capacities as well as by carrying out research to improve treatment of newborn children in need, as well as taking part in antibiotic resistance research and possibilities to prevent newborns and children in hospital care from becoming colonized or infected with CRE gram negative bacteria (Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae).
