The levels of pro-MMPs produced by h-CM cells following exposure to different concentrations of either BK or FR-190997 for 6 h were determined as described in the methods section. Results shown are mean ± SEM from n = 8 for pro-MMP-1 (A); n = 6-8 for pro-MMP-2 (B); n = 4-8 for pro-MMP-3 (C). aP < 0.05; bP < 0.01 relative to base-line controls by Student’s t-test.
