Dr. MARCO ZEPPIERI was born in Ontario, Canada, and currently lives in Udine, Italy. He graduated with a Degree in Biology from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 1992. He obtained his Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan-Bicocca, Italy, in 2003. He then obtained his Specialization in Ophthalmology at the University of Udine in 2007. In 2012, he completed his Ph.D. from the University of Udine. He also completed a Post Doctoral Glaucoma Research Fellowship at Discoveries In Sight, Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, USA in 2006. He obtained his National Qualifications as a 2° level University Professor in 2018. Since January 2008, he has worked as an Ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital in Udine, Italy. The number of articles you have published as first author or corresponding author in important academic journals that are cited on PubMed is more than 150. He has participated in over 100 international academic conference speeches and meetings in the past 15 years. He has participated as an invited speaker at numerous national and international ophthalmology conferences. More than 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts have been completed. His scientific interests include new techniques for the morphological and functional diagnosis of ocular hypertension and glaucoma, using stem cells for corneal wound lesions and other ocular pathologies, ocular surface and lid diagnostics and treatments, and community-based screening procedures. He has numerous skills, including active listening, communication, interpersonal, leadership, mentoring, management, and problem-solving. His hobbies include long walks, hiking, fine dining, old movies, etc.
