Wen-Fang Yang is a Professor, Chief Physician, and PhD Supervisor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology/Women and Children's Center at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. She holds a PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Master of Public Health (MPH). She was previously dispatched to Tufts University and Harvard University in the United States for academic training and played a crucial role in establishing a collaborative exchange platform between the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Tufts University School of Medicine. She serves as the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor of the "Chinese Journal of Maternal and Child Health Research." In addition, she holds various professional positions, including being a member of the Expert Committee of the National Medical Examination Center under the National Health Commission of China, a member of the Women's Health Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, a member of the Children's Health Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, a board member of the National Research Association of Maternal and Child Health, an executive committee member of the Drinking Water and Health Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, and an executive council member of the China Periodicals Association. She is also the Chairman of the Obstetric and Gynecological Health and Reproductive Medicine Specialist Committee of the Shaanxi Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Biotechnology, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Reproductive Anti-Aging Professional Committee of the Shaanxi Medical Communication Association. She has received the "Wiley China Open Science Highly Contributing Author" award and the "Science and Technology Achievement Award" from the China Birth Defects Intervention and Assistance Foundation. She has led or participated in more than 20 projects, including National Key R&D Programs, international collaborative projects, projects from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention related to maternal and child health, key research and development projects at the provincial level, municipal science and technology projects, clinical research projects, projects on new medical technologies, key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and projects under the national "Eleventh Five-Year" and "Twelfth Five-Year" Science and Technology Support Programs. She has authored or co-authored one major monograph as the chief editor, one monograph as the associate editor, and has contributed to 11 textbooks and monographs. She has published over 70 professional papers, including one first-author SCI paper that has been highly cited and ranked in the top 1% in the field of social sciences according to the global Essential Science Indicators (ESI). She has also received several awards, including one Shaanxi Provincial Modern Educational Technology Achievement Award, one Xi'an City Outstanding Research Achievement Award, and one award for new medical technologies.
