Dr. Zhong-Heng Zhang is a physician of Department of emergency medicine, Sir Run-Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou China. He is a member of the Zhejiang society of evidence based medicine and epidemiology. He graduated from school of medicine, Zhejiang University in 2009 receiving Master Degree. He has been appointed as the guest editor for the Canadian respiratory journal to make a special issue on respiratory failure and ventilator support. He also works as the section editor for journal of thoracic disease, inviting editorials and perspectives from global leading opinions. His major research interests include critical care nephrology, hemodynamics and meta-analysis, delirium in ICU, and outcome study for critically ill patients. He is currently working on the secondary analysis of electronic health records and data mining. There are many unknown things lurking behind medical big data, and medical decision-making based on pragmatic data can help to solve issues that cannot be addressed by conventional RCTs and other prospective clinical studies. He is sophisticated in using software R and Stata for data management, data visualization and statistical analysis.
