Professor Emeritus Kazuo Higa is an expert in the field of clinical anesthesiology and pain medicine and a Japanese trained anesthesiologist who is now devoted in the treatment of neuropathic pain, especially zoster-associated pain. Professor Emeritus Higa had been professor and chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, Fukuoka University, Fukuoka, Japan. Professor Emeritus Higa is now working as a director of Fukuseikai-Minami Hospital, Fukuoka, Japan, and treating patients who suffer from pain of various causes.
