Dr. Mussarat Afzal, fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP), is a Senior Consultant Anaesthetist with vast experience in peadiatrics, neuro and cardiothoracic anaesthesia. She has worked extensively in the Middle East and has been involved in working as a Director of ICU as well as Chairing the Department of Anaesthesia in Muscat Private Hospital (run by United Medical, UK). Dr. Afzal is passionate about teaching and educating residents and post graduate students. She is deeply involved in the quality, safety and well being of the patients and is therefore an active member of ‘Morbidity and Mortality' committee. She started the development and organization of anaesthesia facility in remote areas especially in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Afzal is actively involved in research and a reviewer in a number of international journals.
