Mr Byron Chalidis (MD, PhD) is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at a private hospital in Thessaloniki-Greece with a clinical and research practice dedicated to Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery. Furthermore, he is Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics at the Department of Medicine in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Although he enjoys all aspects of Orthopedics, he is particularly interested in the sub-specialties of trauma, pelvic & acetabulum surgery, musculoskeletal tumors, hip & knee reconstruction. Since completing his basic training in Orthopaedics (2006), he worked as a Trauma Fellow (University of Leeds, UK, 2006-2007), as a Clinical/Research Fellow in the fields of Hip & Knee Arthroplasty as well as Biomaterials and Bioengineering (University of Berkeley & UCSF Medical Center, San Francisco, USA, 2007-2008) and as Clinical/Research Fellow in Hip & Knee Reconstructive Surgery (Avenue Hospital, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, 2009-2010). So far, Mr Chalidis has more than 70 publications in peer review scientific journals, and he is also an invited reviewer in more than 35 journals.
