Dr. Ye is a Chief Physician in the Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, China. Having received his MD degree from the second military medical university in 1996, Dr. Ye has been an Attending Physician and lecturer in Department of Orthopedics, Changzheng Hospital Affiliated to Second Military Medical University since 1996. He became a associate Chief Physician and associate Professor of Orthopedics in Changzheng Hospital in 1999. In 2005, Dr. Ye became a Chief Physician and Professor of Orthopedics in Changzheng Hospital. After six years of clinical accumulation, Dr. Ye was promoted to Vice-President, Department of Orthopedics, Changzheng Hospital, Second Military Medical University in 2011. Since 2020, Dr. Ye served as director of orthopedics at Tongren Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. He is the Associate Managing Editor of the Journal of Spinal Surgery, a member of various editorial boards and a reviewer of several scientific journals, and has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles. Currently, Dr. Ye is the Deputy Dean, Hongqiao Institute of International Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Director, Center for Minimally Invasive Spine Research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His ongoing research interests are the clinical and basic research of minimally invasive surgery related to spinal surgery and the construction of a new minimally invasive, safe and efficient surgical intervention system for spine.
