Dr Nicholas Yeo is a fellowship trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Director of the Foot and Ankle Service at Singapore General Hospital. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr Yeo graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2007. He went on to complete specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery and was appointed as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics and Trauma) in 2015. Thereafter, Dr Yeo was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Scholarship from the Ministry of Health to pursue subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle surgery. He completed a year-long fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Canada where he worked closely with a team of internationally renowned foot and ankle surgeons. In addition, he was awarded the AO fellowship at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Germany in lower limb trauma and reconstructive surgery. He looks forward to bringing his trans-atlantic experience back to Singapore to further improve patient care in foot and ankle surgery. His subspecialty interests are in foot and ankle surgery, lower limb arthroplasty and reconstructive surgery. In particular, he is a strong advocate of minimally invasive or ‘key-hole’ surgery. He strongly believes in providing a high standard of care for his patients and has been awarded the Singapore General Hospital Best Service Award for excellent patient care on multiple occasions. Dr Yeo has presented extensively at many local and international orthopaedic conferences and he is well published in multiple peer review journals. He was awarded the prestigious ‘Singapore Orthopaedic Association Young Orthopaedic Investigator Award’ in 2014 for his work on Bicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty.
