My name is Recep Öztürk. I am an orthopedic surgeon at the Ankara Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Training and Research Hospital. I was born in Burdur (Turkey) in 1987 and graduated from Burdur High School (2001- 2004). I studied English for one year (2004-2005) and later completed my medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine (2005-2011). I completed my specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital between 2012-2017. In 2019, I was appointed as a Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Education Council (TOTEK) member. I successfully completed the TOTEK proficiency exam (Board exam) in 2019 and was elected as a full member of the Health Sciences Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Health Implementation and Research Center Ethics Board of Clinical Research. I earned the title of associate professor in 2020. In 2021, I received the titles of “educator” and “chief assistant.” I mainly work in degenerative diseases, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, and orthopedic oncology. I regularly and actively participate in national and international meetings. I am married and have two children.
