Dr. Francesco Castagnini is an orthopaedic surgeon and researcher at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, in Bologna. He works in the Hip and Knee replacement department. His scientific interests are mainly focused on joint replacement procedures, involving primary or revision implants, with special regards to tribology, biomaterials, implant positioning, periprosthetic infections. He is also interested in cartilage repair and osteochondral regenerative procedures.
