Dr. De Martino is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction and joint replacement (hip, knee and shoulder). He completed his medical degree at the Catholic University of the Scared Heart (Rome, Italy), graduating Magna Cum Laude, in 2007. Dr. De Martino completed his Orthopaedic residency at the Catholic University of the Scared Heart (Rome, Italy) in 2013. He then completed several fellowships (Biomechanics, Adult Reconstruction and joint Replacement/Complex Joint Reconstruction, Shoulder Surgery) at the Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City, USA). Recipient of national and international awards for excellence in clinical research, Dr. De Martino has a strong research background in orthopedic surgery. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and delivered presentations at national and international conferences. He is member of the European Knee Society (EKS), Italian Society of Orthopaedic and Traumatology (SIOT), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is reviewer for 5 international journals. Dr. De Martino is serving as surgeon in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the “A. Gemelli” University Hospital in Rome, Italy. Dr. De Martino specializes in orthopaedic procedures including primary and revision total hip, knee and shoulder replacement, partial knee replacement and hip fracture. He has a strong background in new technologies, including robotics and computer-assisted navigation.
