Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman Khan is an assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology of North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Khan completed his bachelor and master's in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Jahangirnagar University of Bangladesh, and then obtained PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Central South University of China in 2013. He had then postdoctoral training in Luzhou Medical College and University of Macao. He then served as Research Professor at Southwest Medical University of China from 2017 to 2022. After that he worked at Boston University School of Medicine, USA, as Research Scientist. The major research focus of Dr. Khan is molecular biology of cancer, obesity, diabetes and infectious disease. Especially he is interested in small molecules and non-coding RNAs in targeting disease pathways; epithelial to mesenchymal transition and cancer metastasis; DNA methylation and gene regulation etc. Dr. Khan has a number of scientific publications (currently 130+) in different fields of biomedical sciences. His current google scholar citation number (till July 2024) is 6750 with H-index 40. He is an associate member of American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), and he participated in different AACR meetings and presented his works. Dr. Khan was a recipient of research grant from National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2019. His primary research focus is now on the molecular mechanism of small molecules and small RNAs in cancer therapeutics and infectious disease treatment. Dr. Khan is teaching Biochemistry, Physiology at the department of Biochemistry and North South University. Dr. Khan is interested in reading (especially Islamic studies, Science & literature) and travelling (especially in mountains and forests).
