Dr. Mihnea-Alexandru Gaman received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania, and is currently a specialist physician in Clinical Hematology. He is also conducting postdoctoral research at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pathology, Stefan S. Nicolau Institute of Virology, Romanian Academy, Bucharest, Romania. His research focuses on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and Acute Myeloid Leukemia, as well as Fundamental and Interdisciplinary Research in Clinical Medicine (Hematology, Oncology, Internal Medicine). He is a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce of the European Hematology Association and an elected member of the steering council of the Romanian National Section of the Balkan Medical Union. He has published over 170 manuscripts indexed in Web of Science Core Collection (including meeting abstracts) of which 117 available in PubMed/MEDLINE. He has a Google Scholar's h-index of 33 and has received numerous international and national awards, including Travel Grants from the European Hematology Association, Society of Hematologic Oncology, Medscape Education Global, European Federation of Immunological Societies, European Society of Radiology, and European Society of Hypertension. He serves on the editorial board of several impact-factor journals for which he has managed 400 editorial records and has reviewed over 650 manuscripts for international journals.
