Fan Jia graduated from Zhejiang University, China, in 2019. After postdoc fellowship with Prof. Jian Ji, he is now a fellow researcher with Sir Run Run Shaw hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. Dr. Jia has engaged in developing materials that can release drug molecules under pathological conditions. Taking inspiration from natural delivery systems in human body, he has developed a series of new NO carriers, which have been applied in many research field. He has published more than 20 papers in academic journals, including Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Biomaterials, Bioactive Materials, Nano Today. He serves as a active fellow of the Interventional Medical Engineering Division of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials. He has served as senior reviewer of many academic journals since 2021. Dr. Jia mainly focused on development of nanomaterials for potential therapy of gastrointestinal tumors. He dedicated in exploring the possibility of native signaling gas molecules in drug-resistance reverse, depletion of tumor-associated stroma and deep tumor penetration. During his career as a researcher, Dr. Jia emphasizes the importance of team work. He has paid great attention in honing multiple skills, including interpersonal communication, project management and problem solving skills. Apart from cancer-related research, Dr. Jia is active in running and has special interest in novels.
