Dr. Yuan is an assistant Professor in the Sixth Affilated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China. He received his MD degree from Xiangya School of Medicine, Zhongnan University in 2012. Dr. Yuan undertook his postgraduate and PhD training at the Sun yat-Sen University and acquired PhD degree after graduation in 2017. He has been an Attending Surgeon in the department of general surgery since 2020. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Sixth Affilated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University in 2021. His research interests are colorectal cancer, peritoneal metastasis, biomarker and artificial intelligence. Dr. Yuan has published high-impact articles in Annals of Surgery, Cancer Communicatons, British J Cancer, Clinical Epigenetics, and World J Gastroenterology. Currently, he is one vice chief doctor in the Department of colorectal surgery, the Sixth Affilated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University.
