Marina Pinheiro (MP) is an Assistant Professor in Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute - University of Porto and a Public Health Medical Doctor. MP holds a Master Degree in Medicine from Faculty of Medicine, a Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences both from the University of Porto and also a European Doctorate Degree in Medicinal Chemistry. MP research involves an interdisciplinary approach, combining novel drug delivery systems of anti-infectious and anti-cancer drugs and public health. h-index 30 Several publications in The Lancet, Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, Food Chemistry. MP reviewed for dozens of academic journals, including for Nature group. MP reviewed for more than 100 manuscripts. MP has experience has an editor, being editor for more than 10 journals and being responsible for more than 10 editorials. Currently, MP also serves as Academic Editor in several journals, including Plos One, Frontiers, and Acta Médica Portuguesa. MP would like to be a full professor and also a Consultant for WHO. MP has Communication Skills being proficient in conveying scientific concepts, both verbally and in writing. Skilled at translating technical information for diverse audiences, including non-specialists. Experienced in delivering presentations, writing reports, and facilitating discussions. Moreover, has leadership Skills, being resilient and adaptable. Moreover, MP has problem-Solving Skills with analytical thinking to address scientific and organizational challenges and has experience to use data-driven approaches to make informed decisions. MP enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and runnign, which help me stay active and connected with nature. MP also passionate about photography, often capturing landscapes and moments from my travels.
