Dr. Qiong-Zhu Dong is a Professor of Fudan University. After receiving her PhD degree from Fudan University Shanghai Medical College in 2009, she joined the Institutes of Biomedical Sciences at Fudan University as a faculty member. She became the associate professor of Fudan University in 2012. Dr. Dong undertook one-half year training as a visiting scientist at Department of Molecular & Cellular Oncology, MD Anderson Cancer Center under the instruction of Professor Mien-Chie Hung (2015-2016). She was promoted to Professor in the Institutes of Biomedical Sciences, Fudan University in 2018. Over the past fifteen years, she has focused on the mechanism and clinical implications of key mediators involved in cancer progression and therapy resistance. As one of the Program of Shanghai Academic Research Leaders, one of the standing committee members of the China Association of Cancer Metastasis and the member of Cancer Metabolism of Chinese Anticancer Association, Dr. Dong tributes to the editorial boards of four SCI journals and takes duties as reviewer on more than 10 peer-reviewed journals. She is the leading principal investigator for many projects including the National Key Research and Development Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China etc. She has published over 100 papers in the peer-reviewed journals including Cancer Cell, Cell Metab, Hepatology, Gut, Cancer Res, etc and awarded four patent grants. She got many scientific awards and honors from the government including the First Prize of Science and Technology Award of China Anti-Cancer Association (2022). Currently, she is the Director of Key laboratory of whole-period monitoring and precise intervention of digestive cancer of Shanghai Municipal Health Commission.
