Dr. Jie Li is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the bioinformatics research center of Harbin Institute of technology. He obtained his doctor's degree in Computer Science in 2007. In 2008, as an assistant research officer, he joined the Biotechnology Research Institute of the National Research Council of Canada to engage in bioinformatics research. In 2012, he joined Harbin Institute of technology as an associate professor and has been supported by the "Hundred Talents Program" of Harbin University of technology. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence, published more than 40 academic papers about, and prepared 2 Monographs on bioinformatics. He has participated in several projects related to Canadian cancer genome, He has participated in and presided over 13 Chinese projects related to bioinformatics and precision medicine. He is a dissertation reviewer of the degree center of the Ministry of education of China, the member of editorial board of Chinese bioinformatics journals, guest associate editor of Front. Mol. Biosci and Frontiers in Genetics, supplement editor of BMC Bioinformatics and BMC Medical Information & Decision Making. He is also member of programme committee of several international computer and bioinformatics conferences. He is a permanent member of the international society of computational biology, senior member of the China Computer Association, executive member of bioinformatics Committee of China Computer Association and member of IEEE so on.
