Dr. Buddhi Prakash Jain is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Zoology, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar, India. He completed his doctoral studies at the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi, India. His lab is working in the following areas: 1. Post transcriptional regulation of gene expression in Cancer. 2. Endoplasmic reticulum stress and Cancer. 3. Molecular analysis of SG2NA/STRIPAK complex. He is the recipient of several awards including a gold medal in Master Program (M.Sc.), EMBO travel award, DST (Department of Science and Technology) Govt of India, Young Scientist travel award, European Association of Cancer Research (EACR) Researcher Development award and has published more than 20 papers as first and corresponding author papers in reputed international journals with total citation more than 400 and H index 8. He has published four books (two edited and two authored) with Elsevier, USA. He has presented his work in several international conferences including American Association of Cell Biology, ASBMB, EMBO, EACR etc. He is a member of Indian Society of Biological Chemist and European Association of Cancer Research. Dr Jain has reviewed several articles for the journals like BBA, Gene, Scientific reports etc. He is also a Associate Editor to the journal GENE. Dr Jain's Cell Signaling and Gene Expression lab is actively working on Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Breast Cancer with main objective to find out the potential therapeutic targets in unfolded protein response signaling. His lab is also working to find out blood based biochemical and hematological markers with potential prognostic values in Breast cancer. Dr Jain is working as an Assistant Professor last 8 years. He served as member of Board of studies in the department, member of Departmental Research committee, member Research and Development Cell of the University and coordinator of SWAYAM program in the department. He is actively engaged in the guiding PhD and Master students. I like to read articles in my research area and I love teaching.
