After a medical degree in (MD) 1998, residency in Pediatrics in 2004 and residency and master of science degree (MSc) in Pediatric Oncology in 2009 at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Serhan Kupeli completed his 2-year-obliged state service at Children's Hospital in Diyarbakir. Beginning from 2011 he started to work at the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Units at Cukurova University, Adana. Principal areas of investigation of him are epidemiology of pediatric oncology and treatment of pediatric patients with malignant diseases, late effects and complications of cancer treatment and quality of life of cancer patients and survivors. Additionally he has been studying on the complications and issues afflicting the pediatric bone marrow transplantation. Especially he has focused on late effects and cardiotoxicity studies related with pediatric oncology patients over the last 5 years. He has published numerous SCI journal papers and was awarded by Hacettepe University Senate (2010). He is Associate Editor of Cukurova Medical Journal (indexed in ESCI, Web of Science)) and member of editorial board in four other scientific medical journals. Serhan Kupeli holding Professorhip in Pediatrics and Pediatric Oncology (2017) still works in Department of Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, Medical School of Cukurova University.
