He  gained the graduation in medicine and surgery on July, 26th 2007 "cum laude", and gained the specialization in gastroenterology on May, 17th, 2012 "cum laude" at the University of Palermo. In 2016 gained the PhD title in surgical biotechnology, metabolic and regenerative medicine in end-stage organ disease at the University of Palermo. In 2018 gained the eligibility as Associate Professor. He currently works at the Fondazione Istituto G. Giglio of Cefalù, as senior attending in the Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Department. His research interests mainly concern the inflammatory bowel disease, the diagnostic and interventional endoscopy and the gastrointestinal oncology. The results of the research have been the subject of several publications in scientific journals with high impact factor.
