Juan Lucas Poggio, MD, MS, FACS, FASCRS is a Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery and Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He received his medical degree from the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed a Masters in Tumor Biology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He then completed his residency in General Surgery at Mercy Hospital of Philadelphia followed by a research and clinical fellowships in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He maintains an active clinical and research focus in Anal Dysplasia, Anal Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, and outcomes research.
