Chao Sun MD, PhD. He accomplished Bachelor Degree at Peking University Health Science Center (2002-2008) and Medical/Physical Doctor Degree at Tianjin Medical University (2009-2014). He also received research training as special fellow at Hyogo College of Medicine (2012-2014). Now he is working as an associate chief physician in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital. His main research interest is the underlying mechanism of regulated cell death in the pathogenesis of acute liver injury, and the prognostic impact of frailty/body composition/trace element/inflammatory response in liver cirrhosis. From 2012 to present, he has published around 40 academic papers as first/correspondence author in peer-review journals (e.g. Clinical Nutrition, Cell Death & Disease and Liver International) and presented his studies at several international academic conferences (DDW 2019, APDW 2019 and EASL 2020).
