Vertiprakhov Vladimir Georgievich, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Animal Physiology, Ethology and Biochemistry of the Russian State Agrarian University-Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology. In 2005, after defending his doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Features of the secretory function of the pancreas of broiler chickens and the possibility of correcting the digestion of animals with zeolite-based enzyme preparations", he received the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences. Working in universities and scientific institutes, he was engaged in the study of the secretory function of the pancreas of broiler chickens in ontogenesis, the development of enzyme preparations (pancreavetin, 1996; gastrovetin 2000), in a chronic experiment on fistula poultry he studied the issues of adaptation to diets of different compositions, biologically active additives. For the first time, he determined the activity of digestive enzymes in the blood plasma of poultry and found a correlation with enzymes of the pancreas and intestines, which served as the basis for the development of a new direction in research - assessing intestinal health and adapting to the level of nutrition.
