My name is Andrea Agostini, I have a Master' s Degree in Medicine and Surgery and am a Board-certified Radiologist. I am an Assistant Radiology Professor at the University Politecnica Delle Marche, in Ancona, Italy. My research field is Abdominal Radiology and Oncologic Body Imaging with CT, MR, and hybrid scanners (PET/MRI). I am particularly focused on Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Imaging since I cooperate with the Liver Transplantation Center of the Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria Delle Marche, Ancona, Italy. I am responsible for the CT (and Dual Energy CT) and MRI protocols for the advanced studies of the liver, including the surgical planning and simulations with tridimensional volumetric reconstructions, and precision anatomy of the liver. I am currently involved also in the activity of the PET/MR staff in the implementation of hepatic and pancreatic protocols. I work in a multidisciplinary environment and this is of great value in my scientific research since it allows me to match the technological innovations in the field of radiology with the clinical needs of a multidisciplinary staff, all aimed to push forward the knowledge in hepatobiliary imaging. I am an active scholar with 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals. My Scopus ID is 56244071700, and I have an H-Index of 18, with 1111 citations. I am the First Author of 11 papers. Four of my projects were awarded by the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology (Cum Laude / Bronze Medal, National Congresses in 2020, 2022, 2024), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA, educational stipend, 2016), by the Society of Computed Body Tomography & Magnetic Resonance (SCBTMR, 1st poster, 2016), the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM, educational stipend, 2016) and the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR, cum laude poster award, 2016). I prepared 25 talks as invites speaker to national and international congresses (SIRM, ESGAR, Journées Françaises de Radiologie, SIEUN, Chinese Radiologist Association). I peer-reviewed 33 papers for Radiologia Medica. I aim to focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic imaging, with advanced MRI and Spectral CT techniques, particularly as support to surgical and interventional procedures. I am actively involved in didactic and mentorship activities of students and residents, as a significant part of my work. I am currently involved in the multidisciplinary team for the management of hepatobiliary and pancreatic malignancies. In my free time, I am an eager reader and I like to travel.
