Jixin Zhong, MD, PhD. Professor and Vice Division Chief of Rhemumatology and Immunology, Deputy Director of Institute of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. My research interest is the inflammatory regulation in cardiometabolic diseases and autoimmune diseases, including diabetes, atherosclerosis, SLE, and rheumatoid arthritis, with a particular interest in the interaction between antigen presenting cells and T cells. I have published over 140 peer-reviewed papers in top journals such as Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, Lancet Rheumatology, Circulation Research, Pharmacological Reviews, and Diabetes Care. My work has been widely cited, with a H-index of 43. My research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), American Heart Association (AHA), American Association of Immunologists (AAI), and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). I have served as an editor or reviewer for a nubmer of academic journals, including iMeta, Military Medical Research, Journal of Immunology Research, and Annals of Internal Medicine. Inflammatory regulation in cardiometabolic diseases and autoimmune diseases I have mentored over 20 undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, and visiting scholars.
