Dr Khouzam is the Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He is an Associate Professor with tenure at The Division of Cardiology at University of Tennessee Health Science center. He is also the Medical Director of the Cardiac Cath lab at Methodist University Hospital. Dr. Khouzam supervises the overall teaching program, evaluation of trainees and quality control. He was recently elected President of the Medical staff for the Methodist Le Bonheur Health Care system. Dr. Khouzam is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional cardiology. He also possesses board certification from the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He supervises and prepares the presentations of the Cath conference weekly, as well as the Journal Club and Morbidity & Mortality conferences monthly. He actively participates in the direct clinical training of the fellow. He is an educator and research investigator. He is the author and co-author of more than 150 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals, as well as a reviewer for 10 medical journals. Dr. Khouzam has served as Principal Investigator and Co-PI in multiple national and international clinical research projects. Dr. Khouzam performs, supervises and teaches at the Methodist University Hospital, Methodist South Hospital, and Methodist Olive Branch Hospital in Memphis, TN.
