Dr. Čulić is a Clinical Cardiologist in University Hospital Center Split and Associate Professor in the School of Medicine, University of Split, Croatia. He received his MD degree from University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 1996 and undertook his postgraduate training in Cardiology at the University Hospital Center Split and University Hospital Dubrava, Zagreb, Croatia. He has been an Attending Physician in the Cardiology Division, Department of Internal Medicine since 2005. He obtained additional postgraduate education in Sports Medicine and earned M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Split School of Medicine. His research focuses are external triggers and chronobiology of acute cardiovascular events, and the role of sex hormones in heart failure. Dr. Čulić received six awards for his scientific work, and currently serves as an editorial board member of five clinically orientated cardiovascular journals and reviewer for most of prestigious international cardiology and epidemiology journals. He served as Head of the Department of Scientific research and clinical drug testing, University Hospital Center Split, Croatia, between 2012 and 2016. He authored and co-authored more than 150 scientific publications, including journal articles, and Internal Medicine and Cardiology textbook chapters, having more than 1150 citations and H index 17.
