With a medical degree in National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan, upon his approval of certificate of cardiology in 2009, Dr. Lin was nominated a Faculty of Medicine in Hualien–Armed Forces General Hospital where he initiated cardiovascular diseases researches. With his collaboration with the PH Department in Tzu-Chi University, he used the eastern Taiwan integrated health care delivery system of Coronary Heart Disease (ET-CHD) registry, 1997-2006 to complete a series of longitudinal researches for the association of cardiovascular risk factors with cardiac and overall mortality in patients with CHD. In addition, Dr. Lin has been a visiting scholar in the DPM of Northwestern University in Chicago and as an investigator of the Multi-Ethnic Atherosclerosis Study (MESA). Dr. Lin has published numerous SCI journal papers, book chapters, edited/reviewed for many academic journals and attended as an editorial board member in many peer-review journals in the past 8 years.
