Dr. Suresh Babu Naidu, Krishna, is a research fellow at the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology (IWWT), Durban University of Technology, South Africa. He is currently a natural scientist registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), a member of the Royal Society of South Africa (MRSSAf), the South African Society for Microbiology (SASM), and the South African Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SASBMB). Since the start of his career, his research has been mainly about improving and creating scientific methods for quickly diagnosing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). He has also done a lot of studies to learn more about how silver nanoparticles can be used in biomedical settings. His current study focuses on improving the dependability of existing nanoparticle applications for human health in order to effectively manage antimicrobial resistance (AMR), the application of nanotechnology in improving antimicrobial efficacy and drug delivery via bioactives and compounds (natural products) through improved nanoparticle sensitivity research, the biosynthesis of nanoparticles for biomedical applications, and isolation, purification, characterization and optimization studies for large-scale productions of bioactive compounds. He is very excited about teaching and educating students, intern scientists, and technicians.
