I' m Zhaowei Zhang, and obtained my PhD degree in biomedical and engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2010. I am currently a professor at the School of Bioengineering and Health of Wuhan Textile University. I have carried out demonstration applications in China's major grain and oil production areas, in the field of agricultural product quality and safety, and in the "the Belt and Road" countries. Some detection technology products have achieved industrialization, with significant economic and social benefits, providing key technical support for government supervision of grain and oil product quality and safety and ensuring consumption safety. I was selected as one of the top young talents in the national ten thousand talents program and the "Industry Professor" by Wuhan 3551, which is a testament to my academic excellence. I have been published over 50 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author (including co-authors) in journals such as Matter, Advanced Materials, Biosensors and Bioelectronics, ACS Sensors, Analytical Chemistry, etc. The number of citations is 3012, and the H-dex is 34. I have given 5 speeches at international academic conferences. and served as an editorial board member for journals such as Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biosensors, and Foods. In addition, I have been published 6 monographs (chapters) in Chinese and English, authorized 15 invention patents in developed countries such as the United States, Japan and Europe, and more than 50 invention patents in China, What’s more, I won the China Patent Excellence Award and developed 6 industry standards. The relevant technologies have been transformed in listed companies and national high-tech enterprises. I have been invited to peer review lots of (over 60) manuscripts in international journals including Advanced Materials, Analytical Chemistry, Trac-trends In Analytical Chemistry, Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Electrophoresis and so on. My main research direction is the quality and safety testing technology for grain and oil products. High sensitivity and high-throughput multi-component detection technology, as well as chromatographic and mass spectrometry laboratory detection technology, have been established for pollutants such as fungal toxins, pesticide residues, heavy metals, and illegal additives, significantly improving detection sensitivity and flux. I have a knack for building relationships and inspiring others. I have played a role in exchange and cooperation of our institute with experts in Spain, Thailand and Canada. I serve as the vice dean of at the School of Bioengineering and Health of Wuhan Textile University, in charge of the administrative work of the college, fully responsible for the administrative management, teaching, scientific research, faculty building, and coordination of internal and external relationships of the college, ensuring the smooth completion of the college's development goals and teaching and research tasks. I like listening to music, watching movies, traveling with my friends and talking about the current scientific development in related research field with my colleagues.
