Born in Salerno (Italy) in 1981. He is a founding partner and CEO of the university spin-off "Theoreo srl", active in the field of metabolomics. Since 2018 he has been scientific director of the Hosmotic company and since 2019 he has been Chief Operating Officer of the EBRIS foundation. Since 2016, he has also been an evaluator for scientific projects of the European Community (Research Executive Agency, Brussels). Lecturer of the doctoral course in 'Developmental and Active Aging Translation Medicine' at the University of Salerno (Salerno, from 2020). Professor of Metabolomics at the University of Sannio (from 2020) and at the University of Salerno (from 2020). Since 2010, his research interests have focused on metabolomics and in particular on the use of metabolomic signatures for the diagnosis of human diseases. He has obtained 14 national and international patents relating to the use of metabolomics for the human diseases screening. He was awarded the Innovation Award in 2018 by the "Teratology Society" (now Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention) for studies on the transfer of knowledge from basic research to clinical practice in the field of prevention of fetal anomalies. In 2016 he was awarded the Young Investigator Award by the “European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN)” for studies on the metabolomic signatures of pediatric obesity. Author of over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 3 book chapters and over 20 communications at national and international conferences. He obtained in 2020 the national scientific qualification as a second level professor for the scientific disciplinary sector 06/N1-Sciences of the health professions and applied medical technologies and in 2021 in the sector 05/E3-Clinical biochemistry and molecular biology.
