Dr. Gurevich received BS and MS in 1980 from Moscow State University in biology/biochemistry, and PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from Shemyakin Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry in 1990. Cornelius Vanderbilt Endowed Chair, Professor of Pharmacology, Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. Since 1991 Dr. Gurevich studies structure and function of arrestin family of proteins. Published >200 papers, that were cited more than 15,500 times. His research is funded by the NIH since 1998. Dr. Gurevich mentored 18 post-doctoral fellows, 7 graduate students, and 48 undergraduate students.
