Danko Mikulić is an attending surgeon at the Division of Abdominal Surgery and Organ Transplantation of University Hospital Merkur in Zagreb. He is a specialist in general, pediatric and digestive surgery. He is a fellow of the European Board of Transplantation Surgery. He is involved in liver and pancreas transplantation and surgical oncology. He defended his Ph.D. thesis titled „Immune predictive factors of outcome of liver transplantation in patients with hepatocelullular carcinoma“ in 2011. His primary interesets in research include hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic cancer, organ donation and allocation. He authored more than 40 papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
