My name is Mariusz Dąbrowski, PhD achieved in 2008, in 2019 so called habilitation and title of Associate Professor at the University of Rzeszów, I currently work at the chair of Human Pathophysiology and Physiology in the College of Medical Sciences at my University. My scientific interest include associations between diabetes and sensory organs impairment (e.g. hearing, smell, taste etc.), links between diabetes, its treatment and cancer, andnutrition, diet and physical activity in diabetes and obesity. I also cooperate with the Institute of Health Sciences regarding usefulnes of Bioimpedance analyzes in different inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, celiac disease, type 1 diabetes, hashimoto thyroiditis etc. I participated as a Principal Investigator in 13 multicenter, international randomized controlled trials. In 4 of them I was a country coordinator. I am the first or corresponding author in 21 academic papers listed in Web of Science. I gave lectures and I conducted workshops in 3 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Postgraduate Courses (in Skopje, Marrakesh and Wroclaw, in 2018 and 2019). During EASD Annual Meeting in Barcelona in 2019 I was a chairman during Poster session and in 2023 in Hamburg I was a chairman during plenary session. I presented 13 posters during poster sessions during EASD and ADA (American Diabetes Association) annual meeting - Number of citations: 507 (in Google Scholar) - Google Scholar's H-index: 13 - Awards: Award-winning lecture named after M. Wierzuchowski during XXI Diabetes Poland Annual Meeting in Warsaw in 2021 - Professional associations’ membership: EASD, ADA, Diabetes Poland (Polish Diabetes Association), Polish Endocrine Society, AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists In total I reviewed over 150 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals (including World Journal of Diabetes and World Journals family. Unfortunately I wrote only one Editorial. Currently I am involved in observational studies on the utility of new technologies in diabetes treatment. Every year I am giving some 35-45 lectures during local, regional and national conferences in the field of diabetes. I am currently a promoteur of 2 doctoral theses, I also reviewed 10 doctoral theses from the other Universities, and 2 habilitation works from external universities. I like riding a bike, I like traveling, mountain hiking, visiting cities and various places (museums, exhibitions, architectural monuments, football stadiums and more - I also like going to football matches in England)
