I am a Professor of Endocrinology, Vice President at Chongqing University Central Hospital. I hold a PhD from Chongqing Medical University. I have been as a research scholar followed with Dr. Armstrong from November 2014 to November 2015 at University of Arizona in Tucson USA. I have long been engaged in limb salvage with advanced repair technology including stem cell, platelets rich plasma, transgenic pig skin, composite chitosan tissue engineered skin and offloading therapy for diabetic patient. I have dedicated to developing and spreading new technology for the treatment of diabetic foot, including biomechanical monitoring and offloading intervention with TCC or customized footwear. He is a Founder and Director of China Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (China-SALSA) with permission of Dr. Armstrong. At the same time, he founded a team and initiated limb salvage and amputation prevention program to help people with diabetes especially who live in the countryside. I have produced more than 70 peer-reviewed research papers (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=wuquan+deng) in dozens of scholarly medical journals as well as 5 book chapters as first author or corresponding author. I have been invited and severed as a reviewer for many journals as following: Diabetes, Ebiomedicine, STTT, BMJ Open Diabetes Research, JCI insights, Diabetes Res Clin Pract, International Wound Journal, Diabetology Metabolic Syndrome, Clinical Epidemiology, Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Wound Medicine, Diabetol Metab Syndr, J Wound Care, Mediators of Inflammation, Ther Clin Risk Manag and so on. I have been dominated and serviced as a member at American limbs preservation society (ALPS) , WHO-D-Foot International, Chinese American Diabetes Association (CADA), Group of Diabetic Foot and Peripheral Vascular Disease; Group of Basic and Translational, Branch Association of Diabetes, Chinese Medical Association. Dr. Deng was invited as one of speaker at 2016 Chinese Diabetes Society (CDS) in Xiamen, China and 2018 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Berlin regarding the mechanism of diabetic wound healing. In 2019, Dr. Deng has been also invited as a moderated poster discussion presenter at the American Diabetes Association’s 79th Scientific Sessions in SF, a keynote speaker at the 19th Diabetic Foot Global Conference (DFcon) in LA.
