Guo-Hua Gong, Professtor of Wenzhou Medical University. I got my Ph.D., Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Program, Sichuan University, 2010. I have been focusing on the research of mitochondrial quality control and have extensive experience in mitochondrial function testing and evaluation, as well as the construction of animal models for diseases, achieving excellent results. The mechanism and application of Mitoflash production have laid a theoretical foundation for using Mitoflash to reveal and explain new mitochondrial related biological phenomena; Mitochondrial Mfn2 regulates myocardial maturation and function, laying a theoretical foundation and pointing out the direction for mitochondrial regulation therapy of heart failure in heart disease; Mitochondrial targeted antioxidant protection of myocardial cell function provides assurance for long-term in vitro culture and research applications of adult mouse myocardial cells. I have published 28 papers as the first or independent corresponding author in Science, Free Radical Bio Med, Cell Death Dis, JMCC, and FASEB J, with over 2000 citations and an H-Index of 29. I have submitted 6 patent applications and have been granted 4 patents. Member of the Stem Cell Research and Application Branch of the Chinese Society of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery, Lifetime Member of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology, and Member of AHA and ISSCR. I am a editor of Frontiers in Molecular Medicine and Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, and write an editorial for Frontiers in Biology and Development Cell. As a reviewer, I have reviewed 30 manuscripts for 10 journals including Journal of Hypertension, Phytomedicine and Science. I am focusing on revealing the mutual influence between calcium ions and oxygen ions during the differentiation process of IPS CMs, revealing the mechanism of metabolic demand regulation of mitochondria promoting disease, and developing a mitochondrial function detection kit. I am an expert in mitochodnrial function evaluation and regulation. I like climbing and swimming in my spare time.
