Dr. Klobucar attended Medical School in Rijeka, Croatia. She trained in Internal Medicine at Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, Croatia where she also completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetology. Dr. Klobucar is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Head of Outpatient Clinic and Educational Center for Diabetes and Obesity at Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, Croatia. She currently serves as Vice President of Croatian Society for Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders and Vice President of Croatian Society for Obesity. Her main interests are diabetes prevention and treatment, management of obesity and nutrition. She was part of the multidisciplinary team involved in the first implantation of gastric electrical stimulator to a patient with severe diabetic gastroparesis in Southeast Europe. Dr Klobucar published several book chapters and articles in scientific journals. She received the Etzwiler International Scholar Award, Class of 2018. She was visiting physician at Mayo Clinic in Rochester (USA), Cluj-Napoca University Hospital (Romania), University Medical Centre Ljubljana (Slovenia), and Theptarin Hospital in Bangkok (Thailand).
