Associate Professor Laura Mazilu is an expert in the field of Oncology and a Romanian trained oncologist who offers both general and specialist oncologic care. She is also the head of Oncology Department in Clinical Emergency Hospital of Constanta since 2013 and a member of the board council of the Romanian Society for Medical Oncology. She has over 80 invited oral presentations in national and international congresses and conferences and is an expert consultant in 40 national and international Advisory Boards. She published 79 papers in extenso in peer-reviewed journals, 112 abstracts, 66 oral communications during national/international conferences on oncology and other medical topics, and 24 book chapters or monographies in national or international publishing houses. The recognition of academic and research activity can be followed in the most prestigious international databases, an increased number of citations and recommendations being available. Some of her works became reference for international guidelines like those of ESMO/ASCO. Dr. Laura Mazilu is an experienced senior specialist of oncology and internal medicine with special interest in immunotherapy and clinical research within clinical trials – she is the principal investigator for more than 50 clinical trials.
