My name is Carlos Chavarría Herbozo, MD, PhD, Gastroenterologist and Advanced Endoscopist in Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain. I am an expert in the field of advanced endoscopy, both in ERCP and EUS. I have been interested in these procedures since I studied the specialty. I was fortunate to have my mentor in this area, Dr. Manuel Perez-Miranda, who is a world reference in this specialty. I have published around 50 articles, 12 of them as first author or corresponding author. ORCID: 0000-0002-2892-9263. I am a peer reviewer for six journals. Two of them are Q1. Rest of them are Q2. I have been a peer reviewer for 10 publications. I have not yet written an editorial. My personal goals are to continue with the clinical practice and research in therapeutic endoscopy (Endoscopic ultrasound-guided therapies). I believe I can adequately handle active listening, teach endoscopic procedures, and manage endoscopic complications. I like running, hiking and travel in my free time.
