I finished my medical school (MBBS) from B. J. Medical College, Pune, India and then completed General Surgery residency from India. Due to my interest in liver cancers, I did a research training at World renowned Mayo Clinic, Rochester where I did basic science research in finding treatment targets for hepatocellular carcinoma. Subsequently, I finished my internal medicine residency from prestigious  John H Stroger, Jr Hospital of Cook County (formerly Cook County Hospital), Chicago, Illinois, United States. And then a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA, United States, where I also trained in endoscopic ultrasound and other advanced endoscopic procedures. I have special interest in early diagnosis and treatment of various gastrointestinal malignancies including esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma. Apart from that I  perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound and other advanced endoscopy procedures.
