Professor Bing Hu is the director of the Digestive Endoscopy Center and the director of the Digestive Endoscopy Medical - Engineering Research Laboratory in West China Hospital of Sichuan University. He is also a doctoral supervisor. He serves as a standing committee member in the Digestive Endoscopy Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, vice - chairman in the Pancreatic Disease Special Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, head of the Medical - Engineering Cross - Collaboration Group in the Gastroenterology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, an expert in the National Quality Control Center for Gastroenterology and director of the provincial quality control center, and an executive director in the Sichuan Artificial Intelligence Society, etc. Professor Bing Hu once worked as a hepatobiliary surgeon for 14 years and later specialized in digestive endoscopy. He has made achievements in the fields of innovative digestive endoscopy techniques and translational research on the combination of medicine and engineering, such as artificial intelligence and device development. He has been invited to perform Endoscopy demonstrations in countries such as Europe, the United States and India many times, which has attracted more than 60 endoscopists from countries including Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Romania, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Egypt, and Algeria to come to West China for further study. In recent years, he has published more than 170 SCI papers (with an impact factor > 1200).
